Explore Boquete’s beauty with our Panama Hot Springs Tour! The natural hot springs of Caldera are located at about 20 minutes south from Boquete, and are well known for their numerous healing qualities. If you have been on a strenuous hike, or if you are sore from horseback riding or any other activity, you will surely appreciate the warm sulfur rich waters with temperatures ranging from 38°C – 46°C that will cure your pains and relax your muscles.
Caldera, which means boiling pot, is a small town near the Caldera River and is located halfway between Dolega and Boquete. The four undeveloped natural pools are located inside a private farm, and all 4 pools have different temperatures. Therefore most visitors enjoy going from one pool to another.
The Caldera river itself situated right next to the pools, serves as a refreshing cool off after bathing in the hot springs, and trust me, you will definitely need it! We will provide snacks and beverages, but we highly recommend bringing extra drinking water for you to not get dehydrated in case you need more. The heat will certainly make you thirsty!
This trip can be organized either at 9AM or at 2PM, and we will depart from our Explora Ya office. This particular excursion takes about 3 hours in total. If you would like to also learn about the Petroglyphs, it can be added to your regular tour at an extra cost.
You can also optionally combine this tour with the Cangilones de Gualaca, a mini canyon, where you can either sunbathe on the warm rock surface, or jump from 2-6 meters high cliffs into turquoise waters. In this case the trip starts at 8AM and lasts about 5 hours.
Please bring a towel, your bathing suit, sunscreen, mosquito repellant and a change of clothes with you before going to the hot springs. It can get quite muddy on the property so bring flip flops that you can rinse off later.
Includes: Transportation, hot springs entrance free, experienced bilingual guide and the best experience!
