"Excellent tours and excellent guides"
Oscar… and all of the Explora Ya staff were completely fantastic. We did several tours over the course of two weeks… and every tour was great. Each day, on our walk into town… we stopped in at Explora Ya to say hi. It's a great business, with great people working there.
"Finca La Milagrosa Coffee Tour"
Our first thought was-oh, another slick coffee tour where they try to peddle high priced coffee. But this is different! We… saw how the beans are graded, fermented, dried, roasted and stored. Oscar (our tour guide) … answered every question we had. We tasted the coffee, but there was no pressure to buy. (We did, though.) It was one of the most interesting and fun tours we've taken. The people in the office of Explora Ya couldn't have been nicer. If you're in Bouquet, stop in.
"An excellent day"
We went on a day tour with Explora Ya and it was a wonderful experience. From Boquete… we headed to Boca Chica where we transferred to three boats to go whale watching and spend a wonderful day on an island with a great beach. We swam, snorkeled and, yes, we did see whales. The crew cut up fresh fruit… and there were sandwiches available as well as beverages. It was a wonderful trip... I have a slight handicap and Jose was wonderful helping me get off and on the boat.
"Excellent tours, quality guides"
My boyfriend and I booked a coffee tour with explora ya on a whim And enjoyed it so much we booked 3 more tours with them! I've been on other tours and I really appreciated the personal approach, Erick and Oscar were solid tour guides, not sales people. Thanks so much, would come back in a heartbeat!
"White Rock Trail is a beautiful hike"
We hiked the White Rock Trail with our guide, Williams. It is a half day, non-strenuous hike with many waterfalls and quaint bridges. You can easily do this hike without a guide and pay the $3 entrance fee, but without a guide, your chances of seeing the elusive quetzal and seeing all that this trail has to offer are diminished. We were fortunate to see a quetzal. Guides can mimic the song of the quetzal; they also know where to look. Read More
Wow - this was the tour of my life since we went at the right time and i got to be upmfront and personal with a mother and baby whale. After that i was so stoked and Israel and the team continued to deliver all day from a great lunch on our deserted island to beautiful beaches and great snorkelling. The water is pristine and very warm and trip was should not be missed ( though no one can gauntee a whale experience).
